Literature Text

A poem I wrote a while back, somehow inspired during my contemporary poetics class while examining Don Mackay's "Fieldmarks"

It is attempting to be somewhat elegaic while still voicing strong outrage.

Im still toying with the balance between the narrators experienced grief and the general tone of outrage and anger in the piece. The latter currently weighs heavier.

It is based on how I felt when the lot next to us sold and some of my favourite spots as a child were obliterated right before my own eyes.
